For all the lipstick lovers, you probably know in Indonesia, matte lipstick is a big hit here. Maybelline also have their matte product. You know, this product who have Gigi Hadid as its model.

In this post, I want to share you some tips for you that want to go to Australia, especially for you who care about your skin.

Australian weather is completely different with Indonesian weather. Some cities at southern Australia have four season, but in the north of Australia, it will be more tropical. The differences between four seasons in Australian and any other countries are the time. In Australia, spring start from September to November. Summer start in December to February. Autumn from March to May. And Winter start from June to August.

last time I came to Melbourne was at October, it's spring time. In this season they already have Daylight Saving Time (DST). DST started at 2am in the first week of October and ended at 3am at the first week of April. DST makes the time in Melbourne one hour faster than before. What will happened at DST? To be easy in this time the sun will set a little bit longer than usual. I still can see the sun at 7pm, and already bright at 5am in the morning.

DST doesn't affect much to Indonesian. But for me, it is a little bit difficult. The time difference between Melbourne and my place usually only two hours, but DST come it become 3 hours difference. If Melbourne already midnight, my time still 9pm.

Humidity in Australia is different with Indonesia. You can stay outdoor for a long time, having run, but it took really long time to produce sweats. But they said it will not going to happened at summer time. I will tell you what summer feels in Australia, latter.

The autumn and spring in Melbourne are not too different. It is cold, but in spring we can feel sunlight longer than autumn. In the spring, we have to be really prepare for rain. brollie (Strayan slang for umbrella) and raincoat always ready all the time. In this season, sunlight is my bestie, it is really different with what I did at Indonesia, I always hide from the sunlight, it burns!!!

The spring season is really dry for me, so sometimes it affect our skin too. So, for you who have a really low moisture at your skin, you should pay more attention to your skin. My first day in Melbourne already made my skin cracked.

Since I know that my skin is a combination type, sometimes is oily, especially if I have lots of humidity around, and it become really dry if there is not enough humidity, I found some tips for you who have the same skin type likes me, and planning to go to Melbourne.


Drink lots of water is good for your skin, because our skin also can get dehydrate too. This is the first preventive action and simple for keeping your skin hydrate. It will caused you always want to go to the toilet, but don't have to worry, because public toilet in Melbourne are everywhere and clean. But if we forget to bring our mineral water, while we are at the city, just find a nearest garden, they provided a drink fountain too.

When you clean your face, choose the cleanser who have the higher moisturizer level, and avoid cleanser who consist of alcohol, it will make your skin dryer. My favorite product is Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, easy to use and also really soft like water. The pink color fit me because it for sensitive skin.

If you can, you can use makeup base that able to moisturize our skin. I usually used Vaselline Petroleum Jelly. Beside for moisturize our skin, this product also help regenerate our dry skin. If you want to buy this product, this product sells everywhere in Australia, and also with the cheap price.

You can add nano mist in this list. I always have it at my bag. So everytime I feel my face dry, I just turn this nano mist on, and spray it onto my face. You can put a normal water inside, just to get your skin hydrated and also not wipe your make up off.

One thing that I have to face from my Long Distance relations is that we can't meet everytime, everyday. Especially if the distance is really really long. Different countries. Lucky me, Indonesia - Australia is not too far. If you read my first journey to Melbourne need a one day trip, I can't imagine how long I will have if it's America or Europe.

So,
My boyfriend and I already have plans until April 2017. After Bali in January, Melbourne in May, our next plan is bringing him to my hometown in Jogjakarta or bringing me back to Melbourne.

After all the talks which one is good which one is not, and even I want both of it, but my boyfriend said we can't have all. Means I have to choose beetween Melbourne or Jogjakarta. At first, I do really have a plan to come to Jogjakarta at November, and if he's not come with me, that would be fine, because we also have plan to meet again at March 2017. This is the cause if you have LDR, even for meet up, we have to put a plan.

One day, my boyfriend decided to bring me back to Melbourne. But I still need to go back home at November. Because that month my little sister having her 17th birthday. He knew it, so he offer me to come back at Melbourne in September. Beside this months is the end of winter and still some snows left (I really want to see snow) and September is also his birthday month. It would be great and special for him.

So we started looking for visa and ticket. But when I looked at the flight ticket to Melbourne, the price at September is ridiculously expensive, and I don't want to fly with another airplane except Garuda Indonesia.

At the end, we postpone my visit to Melbourne in October. Because we still can't get the price that we want for my flight, and the time for waiting the visa to be approve will be lots of longer. In October we had our ticket price fix and I have my visa. Of course I fly with Garuda Indonesia again.

End of September I applied my visa at Dwidaya Tour and Travel. Same documents needed, same price, and also still want to help me. I asked them to help me to get multiply entry for my Visa. But they said they can't help me for that.

Ticket search is a little bit pain in the arse. I loved to fly from Denpasar, faster (it took only 5 hours from Denpasar to Melbourne). And when I arrived at Melbourne, it is still early in the morning, I don't have to line up longer at the immigration. Five days before my visa accepted, the price for Denpasar flight is suddenly up, makes me stressed up. At the end, I had the same price from Garuda Indonesia, but I have to fly from Jakarta, and it was one day faster than our last plan.

At the end, I have this flight: Balikpapan - Jakarta then Jakarta - Melbourne; and Melbourne - Denpasar, then Denpasar - Balikpapan. But still I have no information about my visa. I was so worried that the Australian Embassy will reject my application. But thankfully at the middle of October, the travel agent told me that the Australian Embassy approved my Visa application, unfortunately I just only have single entry, instead of multiply.

Of course my boyfriend disappoint about the result. He also hopped me get the multiply entry. But, the visa already approved, what can we do. Beside, my plan to move to Melbourne is after I finish my contract with this company first.

Buying gift is easy but difficult. Especially if you want to find the traditional gift of Indonesian culture, like Kalimantan. These are some tips for you who want to buy gift for your friends or family aboard, some of this things are better avoid:

• Big and heavy gift. Country like Australia doesn't used to see people bring boxes at the airport.
• Glass made gift, but not packed safely. Try to find a glass made gift that already have safety packed, so it won't be broke and scattered.
• Gift made from the wood, and not smoothly sanded. Because Australian Imigrations really tight about this kind of gift. Beside the smoothly sanded, it also have to be varnished to avod all the bugs inside the wood.
• Gift made from animal or animal organ. In Kalimantan you can find lots of necklaces or bracelets made from animals teethes, but you can't bring it to Australia.
• Better not buy gift with the size, like clothes, because our size and their size is different. Our large size could be only medium size for them
• sharp objects, or sharp weapons. Even it's just a souvenir, but it's a big no to them

You can also find one store that sells Kalimantan gift, even it's not as complete as Citra Niaga. But this place can be another alternative for you who want to find gift. The store name is East Kalimantan Center. Standard name, but it help us to know that this place sells Kalimantan gift.

Unfortunately this store not sells traditional weapon. But we can find a cute local animal like orng utan, or local dolphin. They also sell traditional snack, Amplang. This place is really cozy, because the airconditioner that always on. They also accept card so don't worry about not bringing lots of cash money. You can find the store here: Jl. P.S. because the street is not too big, only enough for one and a half car, if you bring a car, please park right in front of the store, and save place for other car to ride.

Review time, this time I will make review from two different product.
I was ordered Wardah Lipcream before, but since I ordered wrong color, so I ordered another three. Since I ordered to my own friend, I have to wait for it for a week.

Finally, This lip cream was arrived, and I ordered three different nude colors. See you latter (no.3); Berry Pretty (No.10); and Oh So Nude (No.11). Why? just like any other, I also get curious with this product, because it said this is the Indonesian best product for matte lipstick. Nowadays, matte lipstick is booming in Indonesia. So, I think I have to try them.

Actually, I had try a brand called Purbasari. But, apparently Purbasari is not really fit me. I tried my friend's once. My friend said she likes it, but not me. Because I am not a lip stick fans, because I still have difficulty to put it in my lips in one try. And, this purbasari need a strong but soft touch to put it at your lip. And I always ended up with broke it.

Because Wardah is a lip cream, I have no difficulty to put it at my lip. Its creamy texture is so light and not too creamy. Even it's matte, but I have to wait a couple seconds to make it matte. And the result not feels sticky at your lip. Too bad it's leaving stain, so I have to keep retouch it.

I have a friend that not really fit with this lip cream. It cause clot at her lip. My suggestion is if you have a dry lip, better put lip balm first then lipstick.

My less favorite from this lip cream is its brush, for me it's too long and not flexible. I have a little difficulty when I tried to put it into my lip.

Recently, this lip cream have more colors. Like my order, the three of them are nude colors, but different nudes. This lip cream can be the alternative lip cream matte if you doesn't have enough money to buy NYX or Kyle lip kit. It price really chip, aroung Rp40.000 until 65.000, depend on where the area you stay.

The next three days, I also received a make up box that I ordered. This is Maybelline Coloring Box Matte About It, natural grey. This time I want to tell you about my favorite meatball restaurant since I was a kid until now. I was born and grow up at Samarinda, East Kalimantan. Yes, I am a Kalimantan girl with Javanese blood who love to eat and traveling. So this restaurant was there since I was a kid. And when I was a kid I really like to eat here, every time I have this, I always had two portions.

What makes this meatball so delicious? This restaurant that placed near the Segiri traditional Market, Dr. Soetomo street, Samarinda, serve you lots of varians of meatballs. In one bowl you can get smooth meatball, fiber meatball, tofu meatball, wet siomay, fried siomay, and also fried meatball. Even there are lots of variants in one bowl, but all have it taste.

Like any other "bakso Malang", they provide a small plate for you to pour the tomato sauce, sambal, and also sweet soy sauce. So you have choice, eather pour the sambal, sauce and soy sauce at bowl, or at the small plate. The sensation is the same. Super delicious.

You can have iced tea or hot tea, iced or hot orange juice, or bottled tea. Nowadays, they not just only have this meatball, they also add a new menu like chicken noodle (mie ayam) and duck rica rica (rica rica bebek).

If you come to Samarinda, you can come into this restaurant. It only cost you Rp20.000 - Rp25.000 per portion. They also have branch, at the Air Putih area.

Now I want to tell you my experience getting make over by my friend that work as a Make Up Artist.

After so many time making a promises and schedules, last week my high school friend and me finally meet our Make Up Artist (MUA) friend. Since she's so busy, several time we made promise to meet and several time she decline it. Even thought we agree to meet last Saturday, unfortunately she have to go at 4pm, because she had another job.

My one hour journey to Samarinda will not waster, so after I arrived at Samarinda, and meet my high school friend, we have our lunch first, then went to our MUA friend.

Her name is Riska, and when we arrived at her home it's already 1pm. So, we just started. First my high school friend, Cicie. Riska really listen to us, and she really follow what we really want. Cicie want her to put smokey eyes make up to her, and I want a Korean Ullzang make up.

Riska have very complete tools, and she also able to recognize our skin color and which product that fit to our skin color. She is so loud, patient, and also friendly. You can ask so many question about makeup to her too. What we should wear, what not.

The result is so soft. She really trying hard to follow what we want. Even thought the result still far from Korean Ullzang makeup, but it fit perfectly to me.

When i was at Melbourne, my boyfriend introduce me to lots of his family, and also the Australian way of life. But they also asked me about Indonesia of course. Having myself at the new family circle for the first time

At baby Mia's birthday, my boyfriend's ex mother in law suddenly came to me and asked me to join her group. And the questions started. Oh yes, they knew I am an Indonesian, and where I stay in Indonesia. I'm guessing my boyfriend tells them all. They asked me about my journey,a nd I've told them about my 24 hours journey. and I said,"... and I have 5 hours transit in Surabaya for my next flight to Bali." I saw them confused. "Where is Surabaya? Do you know it?" Said one of them. "Oh I don't know it either." And ended up I have to explain about Indonesia to them.

"Oh, I see, Indonesia have lots of islands then? And Surabaya in Java Island."

"Isn't it Jakarta in Java Island?"

"Does Bali and Balikpapan at the same island?"

"So Balikpapan, Surabaya, and Bali are in the different islands."

Even I tried my best explained to them about Indonesia, I think it is too short to explain all. At the end, I just let them wandering about Indonesia.

Some people also asked a ridiculous questions. Just like my boyfriend's son's ex girlfriend:

This pretty girl is not finished there, then she asked another question, which I think it's so ridiculous.

Beside saying Maccas instead Mc. Donalds, they also have their own language for Burger King. In Australia, you will never find Burger King here, instead of Burger King, you will fing Hungry Jack. Same logo, same color, different name.

We all know Australian saying "G'day mate". Beside that, they also have their own calling name for other Caucasians, like POMS for British, Yank for American, and other. My favorite is woop woop, which means they going somewhere far, even them self can't explain the place. And don't be wrong when Australian says "thong" it doesn't mean some kind of bikini, but it is their words of American flip flop.

A must try food? Why don't you try pie. Same shape like fruit pie that we know, but it's smaller, and it consist of meat. You choose the meat, chicke, beef, or pork.

You also have to try vegemite. Even its origin is come from England, but nowadays vegemite is Australian national food. If you try it the first time best not try it in a huge amount, because it's bitter and strong flavour.

Kangaroo and Wallaby is two different animals. Even physically they look a like, but Wallaby is smaller than kangaroo. Kangaroo bigger and consist with muscle and muscle. Don't ever get close with wild kangaroo, they are wild (LOL).

In Melbourne there is four season, like any other Countries at Europe. Just, their four seasons is different. We can't find snow at Christmas Eve, because Melbourne just have their summer at November.

I really amazed with Australian way of life. No car parked in every corner of the street, how they called it traffic jam, how they supermarket work, about the playground, picnic place, the cleanest, how I really enjoy walking at the city.

Maybe some of you asking how you drive in Australia? For Indonesia, it's not different, their driving at the left.

One of my favorite dating time is a movie night. My boyfriend is a huge movie freak, especially movie about racing. He also fans of Bruce Lee, while I like Jacky Chan. LOL. He had lots of movies at his hard drive. I was a picky watcher, even I have no exact genre for favorite movie, I am not a huge fans of popular movies, and neither did he.

So the second time I came to Melbourne, he took me for movie night. If we talking about movie time, almost everyday we have it. Actually, he promised me to take me to the drive in at my last visit, and I can imagine how awesome it will. Beside, I still can't find this kind of cinema in Indonesia.

At that time Civil War movie just came out, even though I really want to watch Alice Trough The Looking Glass, but it still not came to Aussie yet. So I agreed we watched Civil War. 

The car cinema called Lunar DriveIn Theater. This is the modern space of Indonesian old cinema. Why? Because it is outdoor like Indonesian old cinema, but I don't have to worry about the rain, because we inside the car, while in Indonesian old cinema, you just watch a big screen at the field, without a car.

Basically, this cinema is like the other cinema. We also have to buy ticket. So when we entered the gate, there is some staff that ready to welcomed and asked us what movie we will watched that night., and how many people inside the car. After we mentioned the movie, they gave us a ticket, that consist of which theater and also the radio frequency to turn on when the movie on. They have a special price for kids, or if you watched in this place in group. 

This Lunar DriveIn place in Dandenong, 115 Sth Gippsland Highway, Dandenong to be exact. This cinema only open at night. Just like another cinema, they have their board at the front gate to tell you which movies will be played tonight. Or, because it at highway, and a little difficult to see the board, you can jump into their website .

This cinema always play a brand new movie. So I can always have reason to come into this place again and again.

This cinema also equips with cafe and toilet. Just like any cinemas out there. If you want to go to toilet or cafe, just leave the car at the theater, and walk. It's not too far, and it placed in the middle of the theaters.

They sells lots of yummy food at their cafe. glazier doughnut with berry jam, hot dog, chip, delicious. They even sells dimsim. lots of drink choices, coffee or soft drink. And of course they also have popcorn in any sizes.

Like I already wrote above, to listen to the sound, we have to turn the radio to the frequency that they tell us trough the ticket. So, even it was rain outside, we still can hear the sound of the movie clearly.

I've put a story about our plan to bring Mumun to Australia. Mumun is my lovely cat. She just a domestic cat that I found near the rubbish bin when she's not more than 3 months old. So after a year she's with me, she finally have some appointment to receive some vaccinations at vet.

This time is her third visit, and the most important want, a rabies vaccine. Since we running out of time, I have to be hurry. I want Mumun arrived at Australia before me. Because I don't have anyone in Indonesia to trust to keep Mumun, if I left her.

After last week she had her second vaccinations, and suddenly it full of drama. She suddenly really angry, and took three person to hold her. I really don't know what is going on. I thought it is because the vet is different, even the owner is the same, and also the vet is smell of other cat smell. She's really not friendly cat for another cat. She also not really comfortable with female, because it is easier for her to getting close with my brother and the male doctor, than to female one.

Before we went to the vet, she escaped from home. Apparently she escaped to the iron wire at the back of my house. I searched for her the entire morning. I was afraid she injured and dirty, because it was rain at the night before. And Mumun is forbid to have a bath a week before and after the vaccine. Luckily when I found her, she's not that dirty.

I decided to bring her to the first vet. Because I thought while waiting for the doctor I can make Mumun a bit enjoy and familiar with the vet staff.

From the time we waited, there was also three different cats having its vaccinations too. Mumun really didn't like other cat, so she really uncomfortable. When the doctors came, the female doctor recognize her, and placed a nickname for her,"the naughty girl". Because the last time she with her, Mumun almost bite and scratched her.

So,the disaster began...

Suddenly Mumun really angry, she hissed here and there, putting out her claw, and ready to bite and scratch everyone that came near her. Even myself is didn't succeed calm her down. Mumun her self already at the corner, with her hissed and claw ready to ripped everything.Until at the end, somebody put the blanket over her, and we all used a thick gloves for safety. I was so sad and scared for her.

Need an hour to ended up all the chaos. After tied up and her eyes was covered, the male doctor put the injection at her. Finally.

The only thing that scared me was when the female doctor told me that Mumun can have a heart attack because of it. She said, Mumun is not just tantrum,but she also can get traumatize,because the first and second injection before.

It makes me sad to hear it. Because our journey is still long. I planned to put the microchip after this, but knowing her like that it really confused me and keep me really sad. Doctor said maybe she need some medicine to keep her calm. But still, I worried about everything.

I hope she will be stronger to face all of the things we will have...

It's been a while since the last time I wrote about my holiday. I still have some stories to share with. This time I want to share my experience to the edge of this land down under. Yes, We went to Great Ocean Road. Great Ocean Road is the super long road at the edge of Victoria, Australia. Stretched 243 kilometers, Great Ocean Road is a memorial place for all the Australian army at World War I.



Started from Tourquay, Victoria, we began our journey. Woke up early in the morning, fighting with the cold autumn weather. It was a good journey, feels like we went to the farm. Good weather, because we can see the sun at that time.

Our first plan was having a camp there. So we brought a thick blanket and also food. We just bought sandwich actually, simple. But, since my boyfriend tent is missing, we finally decline the camp plan.

After passed Torquay, our journey served with a beautiful scenery of the sea, blue and fresh. We stop at the small town called Angelsea, near the ocean. Our first hope is Maccas, but since we can't find any, so we just went to the bakery there for having breakfast and coffee.

Same like all the bakery shops around Australia, the bakery sells lots of kind of breads, and also coffee. I have my chicken sandwich and cappuccino. We enjoyed our breakie at the park near the shop. Together with the sun shine and some of the sparrow birds.

Angelsea is really small and clean town. So after we eat, we can't leave our trash at the bench, we have to throw it at the bin.

After finishedthebreakfast, we started our journey at Great Ocean Road. SinceI really wnat to go to lighthouse, we stopped at Split Point Light House. 

The journey to this light house was a lottle bit tricky, you have to be entirely believe the sign. Because we was not believe the sign that said "way to the lighthouse is at other way" even that way we saw is the closest. At the end, the sign was right.

At the other way, we found the road is big enough for two cars. But we can't take our car near the lighthouse, we have to park the car at the parking lot that provided there. To get to the lighthouse we have to walk. For the entire way we can find houses near it,also cafe that provide warm drink.

Split point places at Aireys Inlet, a small town at the Great Ocean Road. This lighthouse nowadays used as a mobile phone's provider's tower. We actually able to get inside the lighthouse, but we have to follow the schedule that they put there. Overall, I love this light house.

Don't be surprise if you find one or two Asian tourist that not following the rules. Like when we were at this lighthouse, all of us know that we are not allowed to bring the car near the lighthouse,but these Asian tourist couple parked they car right near the lighthouse, which the parking lot is available only for the disability people.

There is an arch to tell us that the journey to the Great Ocean Road started from this point.In this place we will also meet lots of tourist. Asian? Of course, they came with buses. Two buses took tourist from China, the other bus from India (I think). Makes us really hard to find a parking space.

Beside the arch, we also can find the monument. This monument is the memory for all the Australian army that died in this place at world war I.

According to the story, this arch is the third arch that rebuild. a few years ago, they have black friday, which almost all the forest at Victoria was burned,including the forest near this arch, and burned down the arch too, so they rebuild the arch again.

Another stop was Erskin Waterfall, not too far fromthe arch. Placed at Lorne town, this place is a little bit far from the town central. To get to the waterfall, we have to park our car at and then walked to the gate. From the gate,we walked down faaar away. When we arrived there, they gave us the beauty scenery of Erskin Fall.

In this place,we can stand at the rock in the middle of the river. We just have to be careful. You also can find lots of sign around here to keep us save. 

To came back to the top is super duper tiring. Because we get down faaar away, so need lots of power to return to the gate.

Before we arrived at Appolo Bay, we stoped at one of many beaches there. Stopped, stretching, and enjoying the scenery. 

Appolo Bay is the town where you can find a monument which is  this town is the starting point if you want to have walk around Great Ocean Road. This town is the biggest town around, and you can take a rest,and having lunch here. 

We bought a map at tourist information office. Trough this map we would understand which places we will visit. Oh, you can also buy souvenirs or have brochures here. 

Since the beginning of our journey, we passed lots of towns and all of the towns have very good and nice parks, and all placed near the ocean. I really enjoy stopped and feel the fresh air here. Free wifi is provided at Appolo Bay, all you going to do just put your postal code,and you get free wifi for 30minutes.

The main attractions of this journey... stacks of giant rock at the edge of Australia. First stop was Gibson Steps. It placed near the beach. To get to the beach, we have to use the stair down to the beach. This stair only enough for one person only, so please don't stop if it not too necessary.



When we arrived at the beach, suddenly the wind blew so strong, makes me scared. Because it made the waves getting bigger. So we decided to return upstair before we getting closer to the rocks.

Next one is the Twelve Apostle. This one is the most popular destination around. It have big parking space. We also can rented a chopper to enjoy the scenery from above. 

Why it named Twelve Appostle, while the rock formations not until 12? My boyfriend said it was twelve before, but it crushed by sea and wind bit by bit, so it left us some of it.

My favourite place is Loch Ard Gorge. Why? This place is looks like the scene from Pirates of the Carribean movie. They also have a hidden beach between two huge rocks, and also an outdoor stalagmite near.

Once again, because the weather not too friendly, I was afraid to reach near the beach. Even in this place the wave was not too big, but still. Plus, suddenly the rain falls down, so we have to go back to our car.

At the end, because we can see a big store to buy a tent, we dismissed our plan to having a night at Great Ocean Road. So we returned to Cranbourne at the same day. Arrived at Cranbourne almost midnight and hungry, so we bought Kebab on our way home. A huuuuge lamb kebab for dinner closed our journey today.

I would love to return at Great Ocean Road once again. There are still lots of places I want to visit. More waterfalls, more rock formations, more fun.
